Push Notifications

How to Re-enable Notifications (If previously blocked)

If you have already declined the notification prompt or disabled them in the past, you will need to manually re-enable them in your device settings.

iPhone & iPad (iOS 16.4+)

On iOS, web app notifications are managed just like regular apps, but only if the app is on your Home Screen.

  1. 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. 2. Scroll down to the list of apps and find Vialatm.
  3. 3. Tap on Notifications.
  4. 4. Switch the Allow Notifications toggle to ON.
  5. 5. Tip: If you don't see the app in the list, try deleting the PWA from your Home Screen and adding it again via Safari.

For Android (Chrome)

On Android, permissions are tied to the browser that "installed" the app.

  1. 1. Long-press the Vialatm icon on your Home Screen.
  2. 2. Tap the "i" (App Info) icon.
  3. 3. Tap on Notifications.
  4. 4. Ensure the All Vialatm notifications switch is ON.

How to Ensure Reliable Notifications

To make sure you never miss an update, please check these system settings on your smartphone:

1. Disable Battery Optimization (Android)

Android systems often "kill" background processes to save battery, which can delay or block PWA notifications.

Long-press the Vialatm icon and tap App Info (i).

Go to Battery or Battery usage.

Select Unrestricted (or "Don't optimize"). This allows the app to receive pushes even when you aren't using it.

2. Enable "Notification Dot" & Banners (Android & iOS)

Make sure the visual alerts are fully turned on.

iOS: Go to Settings > Notifications > Vialatm. Ensure Banners, Sounds, and Badges are all checked.

Android: In App Info > Notifications, make sure Allow notification dot is enabled so you see an indicator on the app icon.

3. Turn Off "Focus" or "Do Not Disturb" Mode

If your phone is in Silent, Do Not Disturb, or Focus Mode (like "Work" or "Sleep"), notifications will be silenced or hidden.

Check your Control Center (iOS) or Quick Settings (Android) to ensure these modes are inactive.

4. Avoid Force-Closing the App (iOS)

On iPhone, if you "swipe up" to force-close the PWA from the App Switcher, it may stop receiving push notifications until you open it again.

Recommendation: Keep the app active in the background.

5. Check "Background App Refresh" (iOS)

Go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.

Ensure it is turned ON for both Wi-Fi and Cellular Data to allow the PWA to sync in the background.

6. Data Saver Settings

If you use "Data Saver" mode, the phone may block background data for the app.

Android: In App Info > Mobile data, enable Allow background data usage and Allow data usage while Data saver is on.
